How to Budget in College

College students are known to be tight on money. You may have been working all summer leading up to college but not have a job that first semester away at your new school. There are lots of ways you can learn to budget yourself while in school, but here are a few of the tips that worked for me!

• Save don't spend

• Wait to buy textbooks until the first day (you most likely won't need them, total money saver)

• Check to see if there are free textbooks online

• Make food in your dorm rather than going out

• The dinning hall is always a free option

• Get the necessities rather than get things you don't need.

• Make a list before going to the store of what you will need this will help with buying unnecessary items
